Journey by sea and rail to Norway and London
A long letter recounts a voyage from New York to Cherbourg and onward to England. It describes crossing foggy North Atlantic weather, a tour of London landmarks including Westminster, the Tower of London, Whitehall, and St Paul’s, then continuing to Hull and Norway with stops at towns like Dushenholmen. The writer notes foggy seas, a Norweigian audience, a diary kept in Norwegian, and impressions of dances, local roads, and ground conditions.
