Anfin Rierson Dies at 77 Pioneer Citizen of Palo Alto

Anfin Rierson, long time Palo Alto County pioneer, died Tuesday at his Lost Island Township home after a weeks long illness. Cancer of the stomach was the cause. He leaves a wife and twelve children, all at his bedside except Rierson of Stratford. He was 77. Funeral Friday at one o clock from his residence, then to Lost Island church. Ireland A Nation to Be Shown by Armorican Association

The Armorican Association in Graettinger plans to present the photoplay Ireland A Nation from the Gaelic Amusement Company at Hawkeye theatre within a few weeks. Emmett Moore leads the program with three parts including Financing the Irish Republic, a trip through songs and dances, and the all star Irish cast featuring Robert Bnitett Owen O'Brien Daniel O'Connell and others. James Brown, living east of Gracier, has one of the finest looking crops in the locality after 26 years on the same farm. He recalls Vernon’s early muddy water, the area’s tile drainage about fifteen years ago, and the 1918 barn built by Alfred Jonzen for about 9000 dollars.
