Edward Hansen Dies In Drowning At Pittsburg
Edward Hansen 26 son of Mr and Mrs J E Hansen died by drowning while swimming on Memorial Day near Pittsburg Pennsylvania. His body located and due to be shipped home for funeral at 12 at the house and 1 at the church. He worked on the steamer J K Davison dredging the river bottom. He had previously worked in an ammunition factory and hospital, with strong ties in Graettinger. He is survived by parents and ten siblings. Memorial Day birthday. The Times extends sympathy.

Rainfall graced Graettinger with heavy showers, marking 21 consecutive days of moisture.
