Funeral services were held at Homstead Lutheran church with Rev M Manager officiating and internment in the parochial cemetery. The father stopped to adjust the carburetter, kerosene dripped and caught fire, and the boy, thinking his father stopped to pull weeds, was struck by the sickle. The injuries did not sever cords in his legs and recovery is expected to be rapid.
