Gravel Hauling on West Main Street in Graettinger

Tragic Fourth of July Prank in Minnesota
In Ivanhoe Minnesota eight youths planned a Fourth of July joke using five pounds of dynamite hung in a tree before the section boss and friends. They lit the fuse and fled as the blast killed one man, blinded another, deafened a third, and badly injured three more. The jokers were taken into custody.

Building Notes On Site West Of Times Office
Tuesday morning prep began on lots west of the Times office for the old high school building location. Mr Miller in charge of moving will also handle cement work for the foundation and furnace room. E Green holds the excavation contract for the new location. Work on the en bak garage on East Main Street progresses rapidly with foundation and furnace room nearly finished. The garage will be 4380 feet when complete. The contractor for the new $30,000 high school building is making good headway with a large crew and the structure grows daily.
