John Clausen of Osby died in a Chicago hospital from injuries after a gun discharge by his landlord Jenny Halstead at their farm home near Sherburn Minn. Clausen and others had a beer party. Halstead claimed the right to order them off. Clausen tried to seize the gun. it fired into his groin. Clausen was taken to hospital and endured intense suffering. Halstead was briefly jailed. not indicted by the Martin county grand jury. He is out on his own honor and the case may proceed next term.

Injured Rider in Ringsted Motorcycle Crash
Fenton Hank Peterson of Ringsted suffered severe injuries Saturday forenoon while riding with Carl Christenson to Humbalt for a celebration. Traveling about forty five mph, Peterson rear ended a turning machine half a mile south of Mento and was thrown into a barbed wire fence. He clung to the wire until released as his face and limbs were badly lacerated and one hip injured. Christenson escaped unharmed.
