Mrs Rucker Dies After Illness at Coleman Hospital
Mrs C C Rucker died this afternoon at Coleman hospital after a ten day illness. She had grown very weak this forenoon and her children were summoned to her bedside. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
Religious Census Underway For Nation And Local Catholic Church
The federal government is conducting a religious census nationwide. A recent local Catholic church census shows 537 members, 266 men and 272 women, with 246 under 12 and 391 over 13. Property values total 30,200 including 22,200 for church property and 8,000 for residence and furnishings. A year of repairs, heating, and an addition left a deficit carried into 1927, but the parish avoided debt during boom days.
