Mr. Paul Basset and Miss Rebecca Christiansen of Albert Lea Minnesota were married at the Danish Lutheran church in Albert Lea on Monday December 27. They left for Mankato for their wedding trip and plan to reside in Albert Lea. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs John Christiansen of Albert Lea, grew up in the Fallow neighborhood and was well known locally. Death of Phil OConnor in Kingman Arizona on December 21 brought a funeral in Elko Nevada on December 28. He grew up in Gradlinger and Graettinger Iowa, worked in mining across the West, married Mary Ann Callahan in 1909, and is survived by his wife two brothers and five sisters. Interment was in Elko Catholic Cemetery with Knights of Columbus in charge.

Armstrong Man Loses Cash In Gasoline Fire
VanWeston of Armstrong living in a home on wheels lost $600 in cash when a Haseline stove exploded on Christmas morning starting a fire. He escaped with his wife, then returned for the money but a second blast threw him down and the bills rolled away. The family’s loss is about $1,600 with no insurance. Neighbors collected $80 for the family.

Farmers Creamery Company Hold Annual Meeting
