Funeral of Mrs Rierson Held Friday in Lost Island
Mrs. Rierson aged 39 from Lost Island township died January 26 1927 after two weeks of pneumonia. Funeral services were at home and Lutheran church with Rev M Manisager and Rev Sande officiating. Interment in parochial cemetery. Survived by husband Robert and five children Kalmar Raymond Gladys Irvin Ardell. also six brothers and two sisters. The obituary notes her devotion as a mother and community neighbor and laments the loss to family and parish.

The event aims to support livestock welfare and a strong market with a business session electing two directors and a luncheon at noon. Bought Half Of Graettinger And Saved The Town
In April 1886 J A Spies arrived at Graettinger then called The Gol Mine City of Towne. The town faced depot moves and scarce freight while Spies negotiated with the Iowa Minnesota and Dakota Town Lot Development Company to buy half the town for about $1700, preventing a depot relocation to Osgood and preserving Graettinger.
