Death of two Palo Alto elders shocks Grachtinger
Two longtime residents T D Collins and Neils Jensen died within days in Grachtinger. Collins died at five this morning after a nine day illness from erysipelas and throat complications. Jensen died at nine o clock this morning. Collins's funeral is Sunday at 1 30 pm at the M E church with interment in the east cemetery. Jensen's service is Saturday at 1 pm at the family home then at South Walnut church with burial in the Danish Lutheran cemetery. Rev H P K Vannen will officiate. Both men resided in Palo Alto for over 50 years. The town notes the Farm Bureau elected new officers and directors with G W Giffen as president and several other officials named.

Emmetsburg Plans New Creamery Building Project
The directors of the Emmetsburg Creamery company paid W. D. Donovan 3376 for the old St. James livery barn at Emmetsburg. The building will be torn down and a fine 20000 creamery erected. The new company will operate as a retail and wholesale butter and produce business and will manufacture ice cream.

Spencer Express Agent Shot In Robbery Attempt
Spencer express agent Charles J. Phillips was shot in the abdomen by a robber during a Friday night attempted payroll theft. Phillips, carrying $1,800, had deposited $1,200 earlier that day. robbers got $37. A passenger train was on the main line. the robber escaped via a window, leaving investigators puzzled. Phillips was taken to Spencer hospital and is expected to recover.
