Funeral of Niels Jensen Pioneer Resident of Graettinger

Niels Jensen a Graettinger resident and Palo Alto county pioneer died at his home after months of illness. The funeral was held Saturday with services at his residence and the Danish Lutheran church in South Walnut township. Interment was in the parochial cemetery. Jensen, born May 6 1883 in Denmark, came to the United States in 1864 and settled south of Graettinger. He married in 1885 and had four children. Survived by wife, children, a sister and two nephews, he was known for integrity and hospitality. The Times offers condolences and notes a past era of pioneer sacrifice. Funeral of T. D. Collins in Graettinger

The Times records the funeral of T. D. Collins held Sunday at two. Rev. Cunningham led services at the residence and opera house due to the large attendance. Masons and the American Legion escorted the remains, with pallbearers named. Collins, born November 7, 1833 in Donneville Canada, lived in Palo Alto County and Grayttinger, operated a drug store, and served in New York cavalry during the Civil War. The obituary honors his generous character, political involvement, pioneer work, and wartime service. The Times extends sympathy to his wife and relatives.

Funeral of M Weinholzer Sr. In Emmet County

The community learned with sorrow of the death of M Weinholzer Sr. aged 81. He suffered a stroke while working in the yard Thursday, contracted pneumonia, and died Monday. Funeral was held at the Catholic church with Father Kelly officiating. Burial followed in the parochial cemetery. Survived by wife Grecene Meyer, sons Michael Jr. and Andrew, a brother in Germany, a brother Antone in St Paul, a sister in St Paul, and Joseph Weinholzer of St Paul attended the service. The Times offers sincere sympathy.
