Funeral of Niels Jensen Pioneer Resident of Graettinger
Niels Jensen a Graettinger resident and Palo Alto county pioneer died at his home after months of illness. The funeral was held Saturday with services at his residence and the Danish Lutheran church in South Walnut township. Interment was in the parochial cemetery. Jensen, born May 6 1883 in Denmark, came to the United States in 1864 and settled south of Graettinger. He married in 1885 and had four children. Survived by wife, children, a sister and two nephews, he was known for integrity and hospitality. The Times offers condolences and notes a past era of pioneer sacrifice. Funeral of M Weinholzer Sr. In Emmet County
The community learned with sorrow of the death of M Weinholzer Sr. aged 81. He suffered a stroke while working in the yard Thursday, contracted pneumonia, and died Monday. Funeral was held at the Catholic church with Father Kelly officiating. Burial followed in the parochial cemetery. Survived by wife Grecene Meyer, sons Michael Jr. and Andrew, a brother in Germany, a brother Antone in St Paul, a sister in St Paul, and Joseph Weinholzer of St Paul attended the service.
