Parent-Teachers served the meal at Woodman hall, followed by a speaking program and a social dance. Hog Drowns Value in Loss of Jersey Boar at Lakoba Farm
Lakoba farmer Gus Torne reported the death of a 70 pound registered Jersey boar valued at $1900 after a bad heat, illness, and possible heart trouble. The animal, bred by Torne, died in the hog house despite earlier care and double treatments for cholera.

Thieves entered the Algona Catholic parsonage Tuesday night around 7:16 and stole a Liberty Bond and 400 dollars. Father Coffey lost 250 dollars and the bond, taken from clothing.
