Death of J. G. George at Fairbank Iowa
E S George mourns his brother J G George who died February 9 in Fairbank Iowa at age 78 after two years illness. The funeral was held the following Sunday with daughters Alice and Mrs Margaret Lancaster and a son in attendance. The family has the sympathy of many Gradlinger friends.

Lost Island Farm Bureau Holds Fine Meeting
The Lost Island Farm Bureau held a well attended meeting at Center School house last Tuesday evening. The program featured community singing led by Martin Simonsen, a humorous reading by Donald Hermansen, and elementary numbers by pupils from districts 6 and 8. Martin Simonsen reported on the Des Moines annual meeting. Miss Morrell of Amoa spoke on Home Furnishings with a later demonstration planned at the Charles Christensen home. County agent Hoffman gave a short talk. Refreshments were served by Martin Simonsen and spouses. Next meeting scheduled for March 14. The planning committee includes Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norris and Mr. and Mrs. R. Knutson.
