Funeral Of Mrs. Michael Haag Held Saturday
Mrs. Michael Haag died February 22 near Graettinger after a year of illness. The funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Catholic church with Requiem High Mass conducted by Rev. Father Kelly, followed by burial in the Catholic cemetery. Haag, born Katherine Koch in Luxenborg in 1856, married Haag in 1888 and moved to Iowa in 1888. The couple farmed west of Graettinger, with one son Frank who died young. A nephew and niece from Foley, Minnesota, stayed to assist during her illness. The Times extends sympathy to the Haag family.

Graettinger Bridge Players Defeat Emmetsburg in Ten-Round Victory
Graettinger bridge players defeated ten Emmetsburg players in a ten round battle at the Price Hotel and Cafe Monday evening. Graettinger won by 1215 points as P. J. Paulsen reveled in the victory after warning Charles Spies and E. M. Thompson for months. All participants enjoyed the game and refreshments were served at the close.

One market day is over and preparations are already being made for another. The next sale will be Saturday, March 26.
