Thread of Destiny shines at Graettinger school play
The Graettinger Public Schools presenters delivered a packed performance of The Thread of Destiny at Hawkeye theatre on Friday February 8 despite many handicaps. Despite missing costumes and a power outage, outstanding performances by Lilah Harris Antone E Johnson Cal Gammon Vera Ford and many others impressed the audience. the play spanned 1861 to 1864 Virginia and the Civil War with a happy ending and proceeds earmarked for the school ground block interest. The event also featured music by Roy Bartleman and Mrs Moraine at the piano. Supt Antone E Johnson managed logistics and booklets with praise for all involved.
