Fire alarm at Lambe and Spies office prompts extinguisher save
A Monday forenoon fire at the office of J. B. Lambe and J. A. Spies drew the fire company in quick order. Jake Trick, aided by a fire extinguisher, put out the blaze with slight damage. The cause was an overheated stove, and the scare underscored the need for chimney and pipe inspections and the value of extinguishers in business and home use.
