Graettinger High School basketball defeated Torris High School on their floor Friday night by a score of 38 to 18. The first half ended 9 to 7 in Graettinger’s favor and the second half 12 to 11. Graettinger stars included Harold Christiansen Tom Sullivan Harold Harrington Oscar Elsenbast Roy Christiansen Norman Osher Joe Gabrielson. The Graettinger Juniors also played Rodman Saturday, losing 27 to 2, with Armand Larson Floyd Masters Randall Walker Reuben Johnson John Reidy Earl Erickson.

Mr and Mrs Glenn Young mourn the death of their son Clair Allison aged three months from pneumonia after a two day illness. Funeral services were held at the O C Olson home and Riverside Church with interment in Riverside cemetery. Born September 18 and died December. They rest under the sympathy of many friends.

Champion Flyer Christensen Sets New Airmail Record
Christensen piloting a single motor plane completed a 742 mile route of the airmail service from Ringsted to New York with 5 81/2 hours actual flying time at an average speed over 16 miles per hour. He has ten years in the service and recently moved from Omaha Chicago route to the New York run. He is a carpenter by trade in Ringsted and a well known local figure and classmate of Art Henningsen.

Injured Man Falls At Rock Island Depot Ice

Double Death Near Bradgate Trapping Incident Near Des Moines
