The schedule lists first part of each month dates for stamp purchases. People can buy on scheduled dates at the Welfare Office in Emmetsburg Court House Annex or other towns. Emmetsburg and Graettinger hold afternoon sessions with noted November time changes. Welfare Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
W. R. Reeves, formerly Graettinger town marshal beginning in 1923, died last week in Huntington Park California from complications of old age. He was uncle to Gilbert Reeves of Graettinger and Kermité Reeves of Emmetsburg. An obituary will run when available.
Graettinger Times reports two new staff members at Your Times Pam Robinson son and Shelley Carter. Pam, a 1966 Graettinger High School graduate, holds AA from Iowa Lakes and a BS from the University of South Dakota Vermillion. Shelley, wife of Robert Carter Jr, is a 1971 Graettinger High School graduate with college study at Mankato and Iowa Lakes and previous work at Spencer Women’s Shop.
