Former Graettingerites Attend Charity Ball in Minnesota
In the Bel Rae ballroom at Mounds View Minnesota on November 5 a charity ball was held to raise funds for the Anoka County Day Activity Center for retarded children. Former Graettinger residents Mr and Mrs Jensen and Mrs Gallatin formerly Carol Gjerde attended this event sponsored by Anoka County Mrs Jaycess.

COW ON HIGHWAY CAUSES ACCIDENT NEAR GRAETTINGER
Three cars collided with stray cattle north of Graettinger as cows escaped Morris Dalen farm seeking calves. Thick snow hid the animals leading to crashes with two livestock killed. A 17 year old Emmetsburg girl was hospitalized after her 1970 Pontiac hit a cow. Other drivers and damages not fully released.

A bid setting at 1:30 p.m. at Greettnger State Bank reviewed six contractor bids for a Senior Citizens housing project. FHA approval will finalize bids. Apartments target residents over 65 with income under 9,000 dollars yearly. two two bedroom units and three one bedroom units planned. rents about 100 dollars for two bedrooms and 85 dollars for one bedroom, including utilities.
