The friends of C. E. Norris mourn the death of his mother who died in Mankato Sunday night. Mr. and Mrs. Norris and Vivian left for Mankato Monday. Her remains were taken to Logan for burial. Mrs. Norris was about 80 and had been ill for some time. The Tunes extend sympathy to Mr. Norris in his sorrow.

Two Farm Homes Burn In Ashes Near Ruthven And Hoping
Fire Thursday evening destroyed the Otis Eagelman farm known as the John Mowitt place near Hoping, with Mr. and Mrs. Eagelman and a child away. A suitcase saved, building insured for 2,500 and household goods for 1,000. Also the Harold Barringer farm home near Ruthven burned Friday night. the Barringers were away and flames spread from a furnace, leaving only some furniture saved. Loss estimated 11,000 to 12,000 with 7,100 insurance. rebuilding unlikely this spring.

Funeral Held for Mrs Karen Chrestiansen in Graettinger
The funeral for Mrs Karen Chrestiansen was held Wednesday at the home and Lutheran church in Graettinger. She was born May 7 1849 in Nordre Lands Norway and died aged 82. Surviving children include Hans Ivet Antone Albert and daughters in Graettinger Wallingford and Ottosen. 29 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The Times extends sympathy to the family. Subscription notices were mailed this week with renewals requested due to financial needs.

A gathering of the Lutheran Brothers hoot convened at St. Pauls Lutheran church in this city last evening. About two hundred attendees heard speeches from Minneapolis and Omaha.
