He was taken to Spencer hospital where surgeons amputated the limb. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Wilson of Ruthven southeast area. Christmas approaches in four weeks.

Stevens Family Plans Move to Hot Springs Goat Dairy
W J Stevens, fresh from Hot Springs Arkansas, arranged to take over a goat dairy from J C Clark of Bengal Oklahoma. Clark edits the milk goat department of the Missouri Valley Poultry and Small Stock Journal at Nehawka Nebraska. Stevens notes dairymen in the region sell goat milk to hospitals for 60 to 80 cents per quart. He plans to move to Hot Springs as soon as packing allows and will relocate household goods. The Times wishes him best success in his new location.

Reverend Simonsen of Laurens Dies After Illness
The Danish Lutheran pastor Neils Simonsen of Laurens New York died at home after a six week illness. Born December 19 1860 in Denmark he came to the United States in 1887. He served nine years in South Walnut Graettinger and later Laurens before moving to Texas Scranton Iowa and then returning to Laurens three years ago. Survived by his wife and four children from the first marriage and four from the second plus two grandchildren. Funeral held Thursday November 12 at the Laurens Lutheran church with interment in Laurens cemetery. Mrs Esther Simonson attended. The Times extends sympathy to the family.

Miss Kyrga Watson veteran abstractor and active in church and social life died Friday noon in Emmetsburg at age 80. Born in Oxford England she moved to the United States as a child and later helped found Palo Alto County Abstract company. Survived by a California brother and sister and a niece in Mason City. Northwestern dominates Iowa City grid game 19 to 0

To Prosecute Violators Of Game Laws
Emmetsburg reports members of the Izaak Walton league will report anyone breaking game laws to the local game warden for investigation. The move follows claims pheasants are being killed by farmers upset at out-of-county hunters during the pheasant open season. Farmers feel game laws favor city sport over farmer protection, and those who shoot out of season face prompt wardens’ investigation and stiff penalties.

Clyde Dieter of Ruthven pleaded guilty in Anamosa to assaulting Officer Cole. He struck the Ruthven marshal across the wrist with an iron tire-changing tool, admitted drinking. Dieter, 25, home in Pennsylvania, had worked near Ruthven for several years.
