Death of Louis Knutson in community shock
Louis Knutson died Monday morning from heart failure while returning from town errands. Funeral set for Friday at 1 PM at Norwegian Lutheran Church, with interment in Lost Island Cemetery. He had long been in poor health, with pleurisy and rheumatism prior, and collapsed near C A Jensen Store after a short shopping trip.

Chevrolet And Ford Smash Up On Snowy Highway
A head on collision occurred Saturday night when Michael Englert driving a 2 Chevrolet coupe struck Len Barrett in a Ford car. The Chevrolet was badly damaged but the Ford escaped with minor injuries to Englert who reported a snow obscured view and a stalled Barrett vehicle ahead. The crash happened on a travelled road north of town and the Ford was unoccupied.
