The October 1977 Graettinger council meeting approved cooperation with Emmetsburg Low Rent Housing Agency for HUD rent subsidies and a subdivision easement. It also backed funding for an area wide transportation system, approved a Northdale change order, and handled extensive bill approvals across funds including sewer and water projects. A later special meeting discussed a farm-to-market by-pass and a park skating rink request, with warrants issued for water project bills and liquor license renewal.
Mrs Verna Fales attended the service for her brother in law Pat Weir 58 at Millard Nebraska Monday November 28 1947. He married Carol Davis. Surviving are two sisters Marge Mills and Kate Studer both of Emmetsburg. Also surviving are his wife Carol two daughters Rhonda and Laurie and son Pat Weir Jr. The Weirs were former Emmetsburg and Graettinger residents with many relatives and friends. Mrs Fales traveled to Millard Saturday and back Monday.
