Last week Pocahontas Democrat counted nine automobile accidents totaling thirteen vehicles. Two people were injured. A Nash sedan driven by Mr and Mrs N Wassenaar of Holland Michigan crashed after veering into a ditch to avoid a team and wagon. the car burned, clothes worth nearly $500 were destroyed, and the horse team aided by the wagon pulled the vehicle back onto the road.

E. J. Breen Dies Port Dodge Businessman

Mrs C J Salisbury of Rodman drove into a moving freight train near Ruthven on Tuesday afternoon. The auto struck the front of the freight car and was turned around and thrown through cattle guards. She was slightly injured and a female passenger escaped unharmed. The collision occurred when the driver did not notice the train until it was too late to stop.
