Newall Olmstead, an Estherville young man, died in an auto collision near St James Minnesota Monday. Warren Barber from Estherville, driver of the other car, was badly injured and taken to St James hospital. Olmstead died of internal head injury as Reon treated wounds. The accident occurred at an intersection and both machines were badly smashed.

Lost Arm In Auto Accident Near Newell
Mrs. George Aylward of Jimmetsburg lost her right arm in an accident one mile from Newell Wednesday evening. The arm was ground to pieces and she was rushed to Newell then Storm Lake hospital where amputation occurred. She rode with her husband and children. a farm vehicle struck the rear of their car. Before marriage she taught school west of Graettinger and is mother of six, with many friends offering sympathy.

Fell Under Train and Died After Injury
FP J Haughey a wandering laborer 66 fell from a freight train at Rodman Monday morning losing his left leg. Taken to West Bend for first aid then to Kimmelsburg hospital where he died Tuesday morning. Relatives at Floyd Iowa notified and burial planned there.

Boy Killed at Wallingford Pit Tuesday Morning
Burnell Crosby eighteen was killed at 4 30 am when his right leg tore away in an accident at the Wallingford gravel pit operated by Waterloo Construction Company. He died within minutes after arriving at Stenborg ambulance. Crosby lived forty five minutes after the incident. He worked as a helper on a gravel loading machine and was entangled by a cable as it wound. His body was released by Howard the machine engineer. Crosby, a Clarksville resident, was survived by his father step mother two sisters and his grandmother. The body was to be taken to Clarksville for burial. He had graduated Clarksville high in 1930 and studied at Cedar Falls State Teachers College last year. He belonged to the Order of DeMolay at Cedar Falls.
