Military Camp at Brownell's Beach August 18 27 Parade and Sham Battle
What Company K and the Fifty-Sixth Iowa National Guards along with two regular cavalry units from Fort Snelling will camp at Brownell's Beach August 18 through 27. An effort is under way for a town parade on the 24 with a sham battle on the 25 as soldiers likely march through the town. Spirit Lake Beacon reports Chris Jensen suffered a broken right collar bone in a serious accident while attempting to corral a bull yesterday morning.
