Adulterated Linseed Oil Case In Justice Court

On Tuesday H. Wildoy was found guilty in Justice Cameron's court of selling adulterated linseed oil and fined 26 dollars plus costs. The state chemist found 16 percent foreign substance in the oil. Justice Cameron ruled this violated the state pure food law. Wildey intends to appeal to district court, arguing the law invalid. The law makes it a crime to sell adulterated oil whether the dealer knows it is adulterated or not.

Three year old girl suffered cuts to upper and lower lips when riding a wagon down a hill. She fell into a barb wire fence at the foot of the hill and was treated by Dr. Hession. She is recovering nicely.

Collision Between Car And Train Injures No One

Foreman Prank Chance and his crew, traveling in a gasoline car, collided with a train on a Sunday morning near the east end of their section. The car was wrecked, with the engine broken, but all occupants escaped unharmed after jumping from the vehicle. The train was not expected to run that morning, and the crew misjudged its proximity until it appeared about 300 feet away.
