Boy's fall from home flying machine leaves skull fractured
John Montgomery a 15 year old from Bloomfield cracked his skull and suffered injuries after testing a home made flying contraption. He attached a bicycle propeller to a rear frame with a hot air balloon above and jumped from a high roof hoping to fly, but the device proved too heavy and he fell hitting his head.
