Clay Bondhus returned from Norway on Thursday morning after six months with relatives and friends near his old home. It was his first visit in eighteen years, and he enjoyed it greatly. His parents live nearby along with four sisters and three brothers. He left Graettinger on December 9 and sailed from New York on the Bergensfjord, arriving in Bergen December 15. He returned aboard the Stavangafjord, leaving July 22 and arriving in New York on the 31st.

Hail Storm Accounts Heavy Losses Near Graettinger
A severe storm last evening around six struck north and northeast of Graettinger. W E Reed on the E S George farm was bailed out and his corn badly cut and flattened. Neighboring fields suffered similarly. The storm extended south to Hamilton Brothers and east for some distance. Reed had insurance on his crop. The storm caused heavy losses to farmers in the area. No damage occurred in the immediate territory despite heavy rain.
