Armstrong Triumphs 5 4 In Ninth Inning Rally
Armstrong beat the local High School 5 to 4 in a ninth inning rally at the focal diamond. Gracttinger led early, but the visitors surged late with four hits to clinch the win. Peterson pitched well in his first High School game, allowing only a few hits until the final frame. The locals failed to bunch hits, made more errors, and Dandlus was ruled out at home to end the game. Next up, Widlar’s team travels Friday to face Magated High School at that place.

The Times reports John Kathman recovering after a liver abscess surgery done by Drs. Birney, Kenefick, and Cretzmeyer. He was very ill Sunday and Monday but began to recover by Tuesday and Wednesday, with friends hoping to see him out soon.
