Dana College A Capella choir drew a crowded audience Saturday evening for a sacred concert in this city. The four part program featured unaccompanied songs with the Dana College director Mr Nielsen praised for guiding a gifted ensemble. The choir tours Iowa and neighboring states with about twenty seven performances to promote Dana College and the Danish Lutheran seminary at Blair Nebraska. The visit boosted local interest and underscored community support for Christian education and Dana College.

Work Started Here On New State Highway
Henton and Riley hold the grading contract for the Graettinger to Crippen corner state road. A second outfit is unloading this week with a cat erpillar tractor and about forty mules. The crews will grade from the John Rathman corner south past the J A Spies place along Graettinger’s line. Crippen corner already saw graded work and a wide corner noted as a potential “million dollar” turn. Bridge work continues at Martin Aylward farm with graveling planned after July 1. The target completion date remains July 1 with graveling at 600 yards per mile thereafter.
