H K Overland Dies in Arizona at 84
H K Overland 84 and former Graettinger resident died at his Casa Grande Arizona home Friday night from acute indigestion. He and wife lived in Graettinger years ago, moved to Phoenix in 1929 and later to Casa Grande. Survived by wife and two children Junior 18 and Delores 7, plus parents and siblings. Funeral held Wednesday at M I church in Graettinger with Rev Fremont Faul. burial at Arnolds Park. Many Graettinger residents attended. death mourned by friends and relatives.

Fire at Martin Myhre Home Last Saturday
Fire crews were summoned Saturday afternoon to the Martin Myhre home to quell a kitchen blaze caused by a leaking gasoline stove. The flames were quickly put out with chemicals, but walls and ceiling suffered heavy scorching and some glass broke. The Myhre family isolated the fire until responders arrived.

Paving On No. 18 Will Start In Few Weeks
The Ruthven area prepares for No. 18 paving from Ruthven to Emmetsburg as a grading crew begins near the Milwaukee crossing. About thirty Palo Alto county unemployed men work grading, with concrete paving likely late next week if warmer weather returns. Some four hundred men may be employed this spring and early summer to complete the project by July first, under T. M. Hanna who will manage county labor. Infant Vincent Anthony Leduc Dies of Illness
Mr and Mrs Vincent Leduc of east of town mourn their infant son Vincent Anthony who passed away Saturday morning after a month of eczema and intestinal flu. The funeral was Monday at the Catholic church with interment in the parochial cemetery. The grieving parents received many heartfelt condolences.
