Runaway Horses Run Through Town in Old Fashioned Jam
A team of horses caused a dramatic runaway yesterday before noon in Greattingen. No one was injured. The animals raced from the Wisconsin Lumbar Co yards, through Robbins Avenue and Jen se Hardware corner, then toward Graattingen’s main thoroughfare. Marshall Blom halted the surge. one wheel dented a parked car, and debris scattered along the roadway. The episode recalled old time runaways from the days of yore.

Blaze Destroys Barn and Livestock Premature Fire Loss
A fire at the John Graettinger farm five miles west of Graettinger destroyed a barn and a nearby chicken house on Saturday night around 8:20. Tenant Max Vollmert lost five horses eight milch cows seven young stock and three tons of hay plus gear. Insurance covered most losses with A I Lande paying full policy and Graettinger insured for 800. Fire origin unknown though no lantern or matches were used and Vollmert had left shortly before discovery.
