L H Hankey Dies in Idaho. Rites Planned at Emmetsburg
L H Hankey longtime Ongool area resident died at Twin Falls Idaho on April 18 after a stroke. The remains will be shipped to Emmetsburg for burial with funeral Saturday at Evergreen cemetery. He was born January 19 1867 in Maryland Township Illinois and married Misa Melinda Rothermel in 1892. Survivors include sons A O and Merle of Osgood and daughter Edna Hankey of Clinton Minnesota, plus siblings. He lived in Palo Alto county most of his life and was active in community affairs and a devoted Christian. The Times extends sympathy to his family.

Work On New Lutheran Church In Graettinger Progresses
Work on the new Lutheran church building in Graettinger is progressing rapidly. Volunteers completed the large baggement, and a full crew hauled gravel from the Jorgen Anderson pit for cement work. A cement wall to ground level and a cement floor in the basement are planned. The old east side building has been razed, and next week cement pouring for the foundation will begin. Carpenters cannot work until foundation work is finished.

Mrs. A. P. Nelson a 26 year old wife and mother of three sons killed herself by hanging at home near Ruthven Sunday evening.
