Funeral of Mr Skow Held Friday
The funeral of Christian J. Skow who died Wednesday evening was held Friday at one o’clock at his residence and at two o’clock at the Danish Lutheran church in South Walnut. Rev Cleikensen of West Bend officiated. Interment was in South Walnut cemetery. Pallbearers were Chris Henning sen Chris Berdin Dan Westergard Hans Westergard Jens Olson and James Clausen. He was 76 next November and survived by his wife and daughter Anna. He lived in Palo Alto county nearly a half century and was a devout Danish Lutheran.

A Graettinger note recalls Mrs. J P Wagner receiving a sweater sent by George Wm Done of 317 14th St College Point Long Island from 1917. The George Washington ship, under President Wilson, carried crews across the Atlantic. Done also mailed a copy of The Hatchet. Jensen Auto Co. in Graettinger now represents Buick cars and Chevrolet and Moline tractors, aiming for strong business. A local event lists Wallingford youths performing April 15 at the Graettinger opera house with a goods sale slated for Saturday.

Mrs C C Olson Falls to River Tragedy Near Bridge
The body of Mrs. C. C. Olson was found in the river about noon Tuesday, half a mile south of the M. & St. L. bridge after she left home Monday morning to visit a neighbor. She had recent serious health issues and reportedly consumed headache tablets the night she left. A despondent mood is believed to have led to the fatal act. rescue teams faced swift current as the body was recovered from the river. Farmers Supply Co Opens with Market Day Crowd

Cyclone Visited Lost Island Township Monday
A funnel shaped cyclone struck Lost Island Township Monday between four and five o clock. It damaged trees and a porch, demolished a hen house, lifted a bob sled full of coal into a pig pen, and toppled machinery at several sites. Residents, including travelers on the north bound line, observed the five rod wide tornado as it caused notable damage before moving on.
