Rainfall totals for March reached 3.38 inches with 0.11 more at month end and continued into April. Early April brought cold nights with subfreezing temps, from October 6 through February 23. Temperatures fluctuated after March 1, last night dipping to 27 degrees amid a light Monday snow in the Emmetsburg Estherville and Spencer area, marking the 18th snowstorm since October 18.
A hearing is set for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday April 19 1977 at Graettinger Public School to discuss plans for an addition and remodel including a masonry shop built in the existing building. Proposals due by 2:00 p.m. April 19 1977 with 10 percent bid bonds. payments monthly based on contract prices.
The Graettinger Community School Board announces a construction bid process for proposed improvements. Bids must meet plans by James M. Duffy & Associates and include a 100 percent bond.
