Death of Jens C Christensen Pioneer Resident of Lost Island
Jens C Christensen a longtime Lost Island township resident and Denmark native, died Saturday April 1 after an emergency operation. He was 80 next July. Born July 4, 1863, he came to the United States 50 years ago and married Marie Sorensen in 1885. Surviving are four of seven children, including Mrs Jorgen Paulson and Mrs Martin Jacobsen, and sons Albert and Clarence. Herbert died in World War I. Funeral was held Monday at home and St Pauls Lutheran, with interment in the parish cemetery.
