Death of Clint Logan Shines as Community Loss

Clint Logan, twenty, from Ridgeway Minnesota, died in Beach after a fall from a stepladder led to paralysis and death five days later. He moved to Beach with his family, worked in his father’s store, and was remembered as a pleasant, honorable young man. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church and he was buried at the old home.

Busiest Doctor in the Valley Delivers Week of Newborns

A week of births marks Golden Valley as a busy population center. At Carlyle Mrs L Kleve welcomed a girl, Mrs L P Callender at Trotters a boy, P H Outzen a girl, and Mr and Mrs F J Essene a girl. Aylmer Cole of Bellevue visits to oversee Golden Valley Bank interests and promotes Beach booklets for friends.

Beach business boom continues at depot despite crop failure

The local depot reports September business up more than fifty percent from the prior year amid crop troubles elsewhere. Wheat prices falling 17c per hundred reduce receipts, while grain shipments will persist through winter as farmers boost granaries and hold grain. A. O. Whitney sells a 160 acre farm five miles southeast for 40 per acre to C. J. Strum as he plans a Cuba trip for health.
