Electric Lights to End Darkness in Beach Soon
Within a week Beach will banish evening darkness as the electric light plant goes into operation. The main engine generator and truck arrived Tuesday night after delays, and workers rush installation. A Minnesota transfer stop caused a delay until N P officials relented. Carloads of machinery were delayed by a blunder and shipments are now moving. The Golden Valley sees a new traction engine, the Universal Tractor from Stillwater, tested by J S Ulfers. Two units resemble locomotives, outpace typical tractors, and offer 18 horsepower on the drawbar and 40 on the belt.
