Little Child Lost In the Hills

A Polish farmer's two and a half year old daughter wandered seven miles from her home near Clear Creek south of Gene Williams and was found near Nick Battleman's ranch after two cold nights. Neighbors and authorities conducted a prolonged search. the father Frank Latka faced anger for abandoning the effort.

Bismarck Glan Commits Death by Own Action

B C Peterson a carpenter of Bismarck killed himself at Ms Kenzie last week by slashing his throat with a pocket knife in a barn. He had worked for E G Patterson on the Patterson ranch east of the city and earlier purchased liquor. An investigation found about 150 snuff boxes in his room and an empty one on his person.

Northern Pacific Plans Glendive Helena Cut Off

Northern Pacific engineers survey Dawson and Musselshell counties Montana to build a Glendive to Helena cut off. Officials say construction could begin soon and shorten the route by about 60 miles with rails laid in an air line toward Helena. Also note hay for sale via Oscar G. Pohaton Beach North Dakota.

A Chicago report notes 27 000 farmers with over 6 000 000 in Independent Harvester stock plan to file in U S District Court. Governor Hanna appoints J. BR. Waters of Beach as oil inspector to test sand kerosene and oversee oil receipts. Waters takes the deputy role with equipment and authority to inspect oil shipments entering the state, the largest oil dealer’s testing now centered in Beach.

Rest Room Planned for Beach City By Ladies Group

The ladies led by Mrs. M. H. Jefferson plan a public rest room in the business center for travelers and townsfolk. Donations of chairs cushions rugs books and supplies are welcomed with Mrs. Jefferson coordinating. A visitor log will track patrons once opened, reflecting a long needed amenity for country visitors.
