Gore Found Not Guilty in Larceny Trial
Charles Gore was acquitted of larceny in a Miles City court case facing stockmen and friends. The state alleged Gore took two four year old heifers from Harve Robinson of Sentinel Butte, butchered them at the Southerland ranch near Carlyle, and sold the meat. Robinson testified he owned the OH triangle brand and held cattle near Cannon Ball. Gore said he bought the cattle in a trade and that a brand fragment was accidentally left on a hide during butchering.
