Two Young Couples Marry in Golden Valley

Two Golden Valley couples wed this week with local ties. Gaylord N Wells and Elsie L Clocksin married in Glen Dive and returned to Beach for housekeeping on the groom's farm. Mable Kellogg and Effie Kellogg married Clyde Hiland at the Congregational parsonage in Sentinel Butte and planned a westward trip.

H S M Clothing House to Open in Beach Bar

M W Power closed a deal with Gilbert Gilbertson to erect a large store building for Power and Wagner at Blanche street opposite the First National Bank. The 25 by 60 foot structure with a plate glass front will house first class wall and floor cases for a furnishings department and aims to open when the building is completed by September first. Power and Wagner bring extensive clothier experience from E E Dickinson and Wadena Minnesota.

Saddle Butte correspondent J. E. Doughty and Arthur Nailing dig a cellar for Christ Larson this week. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gordon visit from Stacyville, Iowa to see G. A. Gordon and Mrs. J. R. Delany. A dance is planned at Wallace school house north of Saddle Butte on August 6.

Glendive to Be Here Sunday Ball Game Plan

Arrangements set for a beach ball game Sunday featuring Glendive the first game of the year. Kickoff at 1 PM to allow the visiting team to return on No 3. Glendive known for a fast unit. A prior practice match pitted regulars against the High School with the school winning 8 to 1 after an agreed five high school players retired each inning.

Big Colonization Company Formed In Montana Northwest venture to settle Holland and Belgian farmers

The Montana Colonizing Co. has taken over 25 000 acres in Montana for a large Dutch and Belgian settlement led by Rev J A Van den Heuval of Bowman North Dakota. Settlers will be sold land on easy terms with alfalfa beets winter wheat and truck farming planned. Directors include J Giltinan C A McCann and Lewis Penwell with Bowman headquarters.

AICZFREE Lebration At Beach Storas Close

A large Saturday event at Beach Storas Close invites all residents to a free day of recreation on August 7. The program features a 45 piece St Olaf College band and a local ball game between St Olaf and the locals. Stores close 1 to 5 PM to allow full enjoyment and attendance.
