Hunter's Fourth Addition Platted for Beach Townsite
Beach town growth continues as Hunter's Fourth Addition is platted south of the schoolhouse area and east of Mikkelson Hill. It consists of nine blocks with mixed 25 and 50 foot lots, extending Fraser Blanche Grant and Hunter streets three blocks south and adding Nobe Kellogg Brinton and Mikkelson Avenues. Lots go on sale September 15, likely to attract buyers. The second item notes the funeral of William Watson held Thursday at two, with Rev. Dudley and daughter Pearl presiding, including songs Rock of Ages and Jesus Lover of My Soul, and framed by flowers. over fifty attended, Mrs. Watson receiving condolences.

Farmers Elevator to Add Annex for 30000 Bushel Capacity
Directors announce a new annex to the Farmers Elevator Company to reach at least 30 000 bushels to relieve crowded facilities. Golden Valley People Win Prizes In State Contest
The North Dakota grain contest concluded in Bismarck with judges awarding first, second, fourth and fifth prizes to Bismarck exhibitors and third prize to an Oakes farmer. Beach exhibitors won two prizes. Roy Halstead received $10 and W F Lehrke $5 for unspecified displays. C E Barber's prior first prizes could not be counted due to late transport. Also notes visitors, a lightning death of a horse owned by J K Tatley, and local guests in Beach and Wibaux.

Dickinson Sale to Feature Bird Shire-Bred Draft Horses
The Dickinson Horse Sales Company advertises its next big regular sale in Dickinson after a Beach sale on August 7. The main draw is Bird Shire bred native draft horses raised near Sentinel Butte in Billings County. Twenty six head sold at Beach at an average of 155 dollars each, with more to be offered August 23 to 25 in Dickinson.

Birthday Party Held For Miss Susie Haigh

Five Automobiles Ordered by Chalmers-Detroit Dealer
C H Moulton, the Chalmers- Detroit dealer, plans a large next year auto business. He ordered five 1910 models for spring delivery, three already spoken for. Shipment will include three Chalmers- Detroit Thirtys and two Hudson Twentys. The Thirty is a $1600 touring car with two in use in Beach, while the Twentys is a $900 runabout with strong points of the larger car. See Mr Moulton's ad elsewhere in this issue.
