Northern Pacific official from Glendive met with about 35 local businessmen in Beach to approve two crossings at Blanche and Hunter streets rather than a single Grant street crossing. A new depot is planned for next spring on Grant street between the proposed crossings, with the old depot moved to Yates and Blanche street opening after relocation.

Farmer Watson Dies By Drinking Carbolic Acid
W. W. Watson, a Williams area farmer, died in Beach at the Alfers & Merrill barn from carbolic acid taken in what is ruled a death by own action. A coroner's jury found no motive or note, and the inquest noted the lack of clues while his wife and child remain the sole known relatives.

Each binder links to form a multiple unit for field cutting, with flax attachments and no horse labor used in plowing seeding harvesting threshing or hauling. seed will be hauled to town after threshing.

St Olaf College Team Defeats Locals in Beach Ball Game
The St Olaf College team beat the locals 7 to 1 in a late afternoon game on the Beach field. The visitors opened with one run in the first and two in the second, then added three more in the sixth and one in the seventh before the game was halted to prepare for the evening concert. The St Olaf band had entertained about 2000 spectators earlier at two outdoor concerts.
