Young couple wed quietly in Beach town ceremony
Last Wednesday at five o'clock in Beach, Isabel Patrick married Freeman Whitacker at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Patrick. Rev. Alex Douglas performed the rites as friends applauded. The couple, soon to reside in Beach, will have Mr. Whitacker join his father in the Farmers Elevator after a honeymoon in South Dakota.

Auto accident injures wife of Atty Fisher near Carlyle
Attorney Fisher of Wiciaux suffered a serious car wreck southwest of Carlyle last Saturday evening while en route to Baker. His wife broke her ankle after the steering wheel jerked free when the car hit a rut. their three children and Mr. Fisher were uninjured. A Beach doctor arrived to treat the wife.

Harvest In Full Blast In Golden Valley Reports Big Yields
Harvest is in full blast across Golden Valley with excellent weather for reaping. Wheat and oats ripen fast and yields look enormous, with oats possibly reaching 100 bushels per acre. Flax harvest starts next week as some fields already show big oats yields. Grain men estimate Beach could market over 1 million bushels, making it a top state grain market.

Fair Dates Set for September Showing
The local fair association held a meeting and set the fair for September 21 to 24. The track west of town is being prepared and buildings completed. A good program and fast race meet are expected, with more particulars available later.
Narrow Escape as Elevator at Milling Site Collapses
An elevator at Russell-Miller Milling construction work blew down last Tuesday but no injuries occurred. Workers had just left minutes earlier as it swayed and fell. A replacement was erected quickly and operations resumed within hours.

Norwegian immigrant A. O. Sandvold dies in Beach
A. O. Sandvold, born May 17 1835 in Osterdalen Norway, died Monday at 4 PM after stomach cancer. He lived in Beach since 1907 and leaves a daughter Mrs C H Letson and another in St Paul, plus two sons in Minneapolis and Ontario Wisconsin. Funeral held Tuesday at the Lutheran church with Rev J L Countermine presiding. Sheriff Will of Medora attended on legal business.
