Learn to Ride a Motorcycle in Brandon starts July 12 1982
The Manitoba Safety Council offers a 21 hour Brandon area motorcycle course starting July 12 1982. Motorcycles are provided. students supply helmet clothing boots and gloves. Instructors teach basic street riding then advanced skills such as obstacle negotiation emergency braking and collision avoidance for beginners with permit or experienced riders seeking a refresher. Marta Lobbies Washington on Garrison Diversion Project
Canadian delegate Marta and an all party committee met about 35 Congressmen in Washington to oppose the Garrison Diversion Project. They warned diverted Missouri River water could harm Manitoba fisheries and tourism and pressed for Canada’s interests to be protected ahead of a July vote on a $4 million funding measure.
