Holiday Pilgrimage Planned on Dec 13
Omega Psi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will stage its Ninth Annual Christmas Pilgrimage of Homes in Somervell County on Thursday December 13 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Proceeds aid local needy children needing glasses, hearing aids, health care, and clothing. Admission is $1 at the door of the first home. Six homes host the tour with refreshments at Fellowship Hall, First United Methodist Church. Under wood of this community was arrested here Thursday night and jailed on a charge of reckless driving by Sheriff Frank Lara. He was released the next morning after being fined $27.50 by Peace Justice H. C. Polley. Underwood was arrested again Monday night and charged with driving 90 miles per hour in a 55 mile speed zone by Highway Patrolman Bob Brock. Justice Polley levied a fine of $57.50.

Iredell Man Fined In DWI Case Here
Larry Gene Hanshew of Iredell pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated at a County Court arraignment before Judge Temple Summers. The judge fined him 50 dollars plus 51 dollars 80 cents in court costs, imposed a 30 day jail term, suspended his license for six months with probation, and released him Sunday after a Saturday arrest by Patrolman Bob Brock.

Thirty Pupils Register For Kindergarten
Thirty youngsters and their parents attended a pre registration round up in the high school auditorium on Monday morning and signed up to attend kindergarten classes in the local school beginning January 14.
