Trades Days Sales return to Ag Building weekend
The Trades Day Sales, dubbed Special Trades Days, return this weekend at the Ag Building on Highway 67 with Traders and hundreds of out of town buyers. Organized by the Young Farmer Chapter under W. B. Cowan Jr, the event aims to become a regular monthly feature amid rising tourist traffic from nearby developments and a new state park.

A Somervell County grand jury in 18th District Court returned nine true bills last Thursday morning. Oliver Evanson remains in serious condition in Marks English Hospital after a fall at his home. He lives alone and was found by neighbors Saturday after being undiscovered since Friday. His nieces Mrs. K. P. Larson of Duncan Oklahoma and Mrs. Audry Marrs of Oklahoma City are at his bedside.

De Cordova Dam and Lake Granbury Dedication Today
De Cordova Bend Dam and Lake Granbury, the newest in the Brazos River system, will be dedicated Friday at 4 p.m. Governor Preston Smith will speak. The ceremony at the dam overlook celebrates the 8,500 surface acre lake and 30 mile reach upstream, with a $2.25 barbecue tickets via Somervell County Chamber of Commerce.

Larry Cornett Hurt In Auto Accident
Larry Cornett of this community received multiple cuts and bruises when his 1963 Chevrolet went out of control on Granbury Highway 1 near the M G McConal place. The car overturned after hitting a bridge abutment while traveling toward Glen Rose and he was taken to the local hospital for treatment. Sheriff C M Speck Strawn said the car was a total loss. Mr and Mrs Dick Coleman returned home in Abilene after visiting Mrs Tennie Coleman.
