Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bridges spent ten days in New York City as Bridges had surgery at Columbia Hospital and Neurological Center. He was slated for discharge Tuesday and return home Thursday morning. Dr. Marks accompanied the Bridges and Mrs. Marks joined them later.
Miss Irene Bryan of Fort Worth visits friends Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Polly. Jack Keenum returns from the hospital and continues to improve. Memorial Hospital in Cleburne hosts Mrs. J. E. Ramsey. Virgil Reeves and family visit W. M. Reeves in Amarillo. Leonard Hines and children visit her parents, Early Teague. Barbara returns for a short visit. Dean preaches and assists with a religious survey. Cliff Proffitt party visits Earl Proffitt. Homecoming announced. new lunch served at 12:30.
Mr. and Mrs. George Ivy celebrate 62 years of marriage on Christmas day amid 7 children, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. They hosted relatives from Fort Worth Granbury Corsicana Walnut Springs and Glen Rose including T W Ivy Lebron Ivy and Don Ivy plus several spouses and grandchildren. Several descendants have served in the armed forces including Navy WWI Sea Bees WWII Air Force and ROTC tied to Rice Institute and A M College.
Mrs. Nancy Collins Weatherford died earlier this year and funeral services were conducted Tuesday May 24 at Chalk Mountain Cemetery. She was 74 and a Primitive Baptist Church member born in Paluxy. Survivors include three sons Doyle Grady and Oran two daughters Della Matthews six brothers one sister 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Three new members have joined the Chamber of Commerce. MACKS ELECTRIC DAWSON HOLDEN and TANKERSLEY GROCERY are listed as new members alongside a real estate firm. The announcement notes the additions to the local business association.
A singing event at Rock Creek Friday night features many good singers. Refreshments will be served.
Bob Meaders son of Dr and Mrs W E Meaders earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University at ceremonies held last Monday evening. A Glen Rose High School graduate he completed the degree in three years and has been accepted to Southwestern Medical School UT Dallas entering in September.
A jury commission named Henry Nickell, Woody Brown, and Earl Cavasos selected a new grand and petit jury panel. Sixteen were chosen for the grand jury and 72 for petit jury service. The grand jury will be impaneled on June 7.
Infants Charles Lee Northcutt and Robert Richard Northcutt, sons of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Northcutt of 4120 Townsend Drive Fort Worth, died shortly after birth May 24 1955 in Harris Hospital. Surviving siblings are Susan Betty and Jesse Jr. Grandparents are Mrs Blanche Loper and Mrs R M Loper on the maternal side and Mr and Mrs Roy E Howell of Sherman on the paternal side.

Mrs Fredda Mae Roberts daughter of Mr and Mrs J E Ward received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan College last Sunday at Polytechnic Methodist Church where the TWC commencement was held. Mr and Mrs Ward attended and Billy Ward also attended.

H M Guzman wife Virginia and sons Gerald and Michael visited in the home of Mrs J C Smith. They are stationed at Fort Hood and spent the past weekend with relatives.
O P Shannon visited his sister Mrs J C Smith Sunday and Monday. He lives in Dallas. Bill Gavit Dr W E Medders and Jerre Deason returned last Friday from a west coast trip. They did deep sea fishing in the Pacific and returned by the northern route through Nevada Arizona and New Mexico.
