Hatchetts Injured After Vernon Wreck En Route to Reunion
Mr and Mrs Johnnie Hatchett were seriously injured when their car overturned near Vernon Texas last Saturday. Mrs Hatchett is Edna Childress sister of Mrs W D Nowlin. The couple, en route from Coleman to Oklahoma for a family reunion, remain in Vernon hospital in serious condition.

Two Wrecks Reported During Independence Weekend
Two vehicle collisions occurred July 4 and July 5 near Rainbow and front of White's Auto Store. D. B. Embry lost control at the Halsey Wrecking Yard, causing $400 damage to a 1955 Chevrolet. Harmon Glenn's car collided with Mrs. Clyde Sexton's car, causing $60 damage. No injuries were reported.

Funeral services for E. M. Conger 87 were held July 8 in Glen Rose Methodist Church with Rev. George Greekon officiating. Conger born February 7, 1870 in Freestone County died July 7 at home. Survivors include two daughters four sons twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery Walnut Springs.
